Prom will i regret it?

all of my 7 friends got asked by a guy and going with dates
i never got asked yet and know im not going to get asked
my mom and cousins keep pressuring me to go because i will regret it
but will i really regret it since all my friends are going with dates and i cant go by myself?

What grade are you in?

You can absolutely go by yourself. It all depends on what your version of fun is. I didn't go this year, but I'm definitely going next year since it's senior prom. So.
It's all really a matter of perception anyway. It's a dance - it's not the last big time of your life to get dressed up, or whatever. The only thing that really makes it spectacular is that it's in high school, and you really have two for sure opportunites to go.
It just all depends on what you think of it. Not anyone else. Just another highschool thing, it depends if you're into it or not.
But, whatever you decide, you can still have fun. You don't have to go - you can always go to the movies and dinner with some people you know, and it could be fun too. And you won't have to buy/borrow/rent a big dress, or whatever, and spend all the money on dinner, tickets, pictures, etc.
